Purpose:

To make disciples of Jesus Christ by: helping Connect people to Jesus Christ and other disciples, to Grow meaningful and healthy relationships, to Follow Christ to serve in the world and by so doing Reach the lost for Christ.

Mission Field:

Those in the greater Bluffton area who are not in a living relationship with Jesus.

What the congregation will look like:

  • We, above all else will be "sold-out" for Jesus Christ, making him Lord of every area of our life.
  • We will be an inclusive group who welcomes any and all regardless of station in life or past hang ups or hurts.
  • We will be a congregation where people are expected to love Jesus and others, grow, serve and have fun.
  • We will be distinctively Wesleyan and live in our UM heritage, yet we will live it in new and exciting ways. ("No new wine in old wine-skins.")
  • We will be a congregation of "grace in action".
  • We will not pander in gossip or negativity, focusing on the good news of Jesus Christ all the while being "encouragers."
  • We will be a praying community, both collectively and individually, bathing everything we do in prayer.
  • We will be deeply involved in the community bringing help to those in need.
  • We will focus on being faithful in all areas of stewardship.
  • We will be a giving and tithing community.
